Tech Report 1

(Existing Conditons)

Overview of the existing structure including foundation details, gravity and lateral systems, and a closer look at the structural load path and other special elements of AC Philadelphia.

Structural Notebook Submission A

In-depth analysis of the gravity (floor) and lateral (wind & seismic) loads being applied to the structure.  Floor & wall sections are displayed for viewing pleasure.

Structural Notebook Submission B

Analysis of a typical floor bay and a comparison between three alternative framing schemes weighing pros and cons.  A PPT presentation is also available w/ summarized information of the report.

Structural Notebook Submission C

Analysis of the lateral force resisting elements (LFRE) of the building.  Building drift limits are established base on overall building height and material.  A 3D model was created in RAM Structural System to get a better understanding of the building's behavior under lateral loading.
